For sale is a vintage top of the range ESC for brushed motors. LRP Quantum 2 Competition ESC was probably the best speed controller for a while in the early 2000s. This unit has seen little use, it was tested and works fine. As can be seen from the photos, the unit, packaging and box are all in excellent condition having been stored in a dry area out of sunlight for over twenty years. Unfortunately LRP blue lacquer has a tendancy to peel off easily with age. This speed controller was never raced. Great piece of RC history, would be good for a restorer or some one who wants to race vintage cars.

Futaba MC116 ESC in working condition. Taken from a buggy that was running, this is a classic vintage ESC for brushed motors. In very good condition with all original wiring this would make for an excellent addition to any vintage RC car.

This is something rather interesting! It’s a Keyence product – but not a precision industrial sensor or a machine vision system, but an ESC for an RC car. I believe this was the flagship Keyence product, with the lowest parasitic resistance of all commercially available ESC – but I could be wrong about that. It includes a tiny (and I mean tiny) alphanumeric LED display for programming which looks pretty exciting. It has never been used. I have owned it for a number of years and have been waiting for the right project to come along – but I don’t think that’s likely to happen any time soon. It’s too cool to sit in its box unused so it’s time for it to go to a new owner who will hopefully have the perfect home in mind for it. Includes the original Japanese + English literature, unused decal sheet, all accessories – it’s all there. You can even choose the pinout for your receiver connection.
