Priced to sell as I no longer have any use for it since my old lathe was scrapped. A smooth-running British-made 2000rpm 1.87kw(2.5hp) dc motor and KB Electronics dc motor speed controller (made in USA). The dc contoller is housed in a quality Schneider electrical cabinet which can be wall mounted (as shown in the pics) or mounted to the side of a lathe. The remote control pod has a speed control potentiometer knob and a 3 position switch to select reverse / instant stop / forward. Includes a 1610-24 tapered locking bush to fit the motor’s 24mm keyed shaft and a 1610 SPB section V belt pulley with 100mm pitch diameter (see last pic). Works from standard 240v mains supply. I fitted the contoller with a 16amp plug and wired a 16 amp socket to the 3-pin double socket as shown in pic 7 – you could replace the 16amp plug with a standard 13amp 3-pin plug and it would probably work fine. The motor was made by Tuscan Engineering Ltd of Bridgend, Wales. The KB Electronics dc motor speed control (KBMM-225D) comes with spare plug-in horsepower resistor and fuse. Too heavy to post.
