This is a 1/2 HP Permanent Magnet DC Motor with Solid State Electronic Variable Speed Control. Here are the specs. 1/2 HP Permanent magnet DC motor. 1480 to 5400 RPM no-load speed range (as measured with a digital tachometer with control powered at 122 volts). Clockwise rotation (facing end of motor shaft)(rotation can be reversed by switch power leads inside control). TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled). 2 Mounting options on motor face as follows. (4) Screws on the motor face in a 2-5/32 (55mm) circle 90 degrees apart. (2) Openings on motor mounting bracket approximately 3-3/4″ (95mm) apart to accept up to 5/16″ (8mm) diameter bolts. 5/16″ (8mm) Diameter x 1-3/4″ (45mm) long output shaft with flat for set screw. Motor body is 3-5/32″ (80mm) diameter x 5-1/4″ (154mm) long with mount bracket installed. DC Motor control (solid state). Input power: 110 Volts / 3.2 amps / 1 Ph / 60 Hz. Controls motor speed from approximately 1480 no-load RPM (slightly delayed soft start) to 5400 no-load RPM (when powered at 122 volts). Control box measures 5-1/8″ long x 3-1/8″ wide x 2-3/8 deep. With safety switch, variable speed control knob, built-in resetable circuit breaker, and fuse (plus extra fuse). Heavy duty 6 ft grounded cord. Screws included to mount control box and motor. Motor produces its best torque in the top half of its speed range. This is a complete motor / control package ready to be mounted to your lathe, drill, mill, or any other machine requiring a 1/2 HP variable speed drive.
